Job Description

Join our team as a Sterilization Technician and start your career in the dental field! This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience while ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in a dental setting

Responsibilities

The Sterilization Technician performs sterilization according to OSHA standards, infection control, organization, inventory of supplies and back up seating of patients.

  • Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments using ADA protocols.
  • Prepare trays with standard dental equipment to ensure effective patient turnover.
  • Observe and maintain all OSHA guidelines and standards.
  • Responsible for all dental instruments being cleaned, stored and sterilized using autoclave.
  • Operating, monitoring and cleaning of sterilization equipment.
  • Perform daily and weekly infection control test to ensure optimum sterility.
  • Periodontal charting for hygiene, as needed.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dental assistant certification where required.
  • Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, BLS and infection control training as required by law.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to establish a rapport with patient.
  • Proficiency with computer software.
